Parking Permit Registration

PARKING SPACE AGREEMENT By submitting this application it constitutes your signature and agreement to all of the terms in this contract.

1. The Parties. This agreement is by and between Berwyn Baptist Church with a mailing address of 4720 Cherokee Street, College Park, MD 20740, phone 301-474-7117, email secretary@www.berwynbaptist.org, www.www.berwynbaptist.org (Hereinafter known as the ‘Lessor’) and the person who completed this form (Hereinafter known as the ‘Lessee’) for the number of parking space(s) located at 4720 Cherokee Street, College Park, MD 20740 indicated on the registration form.

2. Location for Parking. Directly behind Ferris Manor apartment building (Not on the area where the basketball stand is located). PARK AT YOUR OWN RISK!

3. Term. The tenancy shall be for a 1-month term. If the Lessor agrees to continue this parking agreement, your contract will continue as long as payment is made monthly. This agreement begins on the date when payment has been made and ALL required items below have been emailed to secretary@www.berwynbaptist.org. All cars parked on the Lessor’s lot must have a parking permit hanging on their mirror. REMINDER: It is illegal to park in the fire lane / driveway. You will be issued numbered mirror-hanging parking permit(s) via US Mail or another method after all items have been provided below. This contract does not go into effect until all items are received.

4. ITEMS REQUIRED TO INITIATE THIS CONTRACT.
1 This signed parking registration form
2 An emailed copy of your Driver’s License
3 An emailed copy of your vehicle’s Registration Card
4 An emailed copy of your Proof of Current Insurance coverage for the vehicle
5 Electronic Payment of $155 for each parking permit. All information will be held on the premises at the Church Office.

5. 5a. Fee. the Lessee agrees to pay $155.00 per 1-month period, per parking space used, which is subject to change at any time, and should be given to the Lessor within the 1st week of every 1-month period. Multiple month payments will also be accepted. Each month must be fully paid to keep your contract and reservation current. Use for any part of the month must be paid in full and is not refundable.

Payment: By Paypal, CREDIT/DEBIT CARD ONLY. (NO cash, checks or money orders or other electronic payment methods). THERE ARE NO REFUNDS.

A payment of ${calculation-1} MUST be made after completion and submission of this agreement for requested parking permits: Click here  to pay online, and enter ${calculation-1} as the amount you plan to pay. Complete your information, and submit the payment in the amount of ${calculation-1} for number of permits requested.

5b. Subletting. The Lessee is not allowed to sublease (sublet) the space.

6. Current Registration & Insurance. Lessee may use the space for passenger vehicles only, that are current with all state and local registration. Lessee will be liable to the Church for any damage caused by them.

7. Maintenance. Lessee is required to keep the vehicle in good repair and free of hazardous leaks of oils or fluids. No repairs of any type are allowed on the parking space and, if needed, the vehicle must be taken to a location that allows such activities.

8. Use of Space & Damage. The use of the space may only be for the parking of a vehicle that is owned/leased/rented by the Lessee or his/her visitor. No storage of personal property may be allowed in the space. Loitering and/or noxious activity on Church Property is prohibited. No trash should be left near the vehicle or on the Church lot. Lessor is not liable for any damage done to any person, the vehicles, theft, collision, criminal activity, or acts of nature. All liability to the vehicle and personal property will be the responsibility of the Lessee. Lessor will not be responsible for monitoring the parking lot. All vehicles on the Lessor’s property must have a hanging permit.

9. Indemnification. The Lessee agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Lessor and its members, agents, employees from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, demands, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) which may be asserted against or incurred by any of such indemnified parties arising out of or in connection with using the Lessor’s parking lot including loss to persons or real or tangible property, injury to or death of any person.

10. Governing Law. This agreement shall be governed under the laws in the State of Maryland. The parking lot shall be and remain the property of the Church, its successors and assignees.

11. Communication. If property damage or agreement violation is observed, the Lessee will be notified by the cell phone number or email address provided if your contract has been cancelled. Do not pay any additional fees if your contract is cancelled. The Church reserves the right to change, delete or modify conditions of use by notifying the Lessee(s). Special activities such as funerals, weddings, large church gatherings or other events may require the temporary restriction of use of the Church Property for Lessee(s). The Lessee(s) will be given advanced notice of these restricted dates and times. The Church reserves the right to relocate, repave and maintain the parking lot within the Church Property in its reasonable discretion.

12. By signing this form electronically, I agree that my electronic signature is the legal equivalent of my manual / handwritten signature on this document. I consent to the legally binding terms and conditions of this document. I further agree that my signature on this document is as valid as if I signed the document in writing. I am also confirming that I am authorized to enter into this Agreement.
